I am also a French native speaker, which matters when dealing with a French hospital's HR desk. How I would run it: 1. Call the CHU de Bordeaux HR department first to identify the correct office and book a slot where possible. Walking in unannounced is the main reason these visits fail in France. 2. Attend in person with your authorization letter, present the request, and verify the employment certificate against their records. 3. Complete your verification form the same day and return it with the name and job title of the person who confirmed the information, plus dated photo evidence of the visit. One point I want to flag honestly before you spend anything: under GDPR, a French public hospital will normally not release employment information to a third party without a signed consent form from the individual concerned, or a letter of authority. Do you have that document? If yes, this is straightforward. If not, I will tell you before the visit rather than after. Two questions so I can prepare properly: what is the exact name and job title shown on the certificate, and which employment dates am I confirming?
