I have an existing excel worksheet. I use it for monitoring work completed by our employees. The worksheet allows me to answer "y", "n" and "x" for each task (I select these from a dropdown list within each cell). I want to weight each of these answers differently and have them sum in a numerator and denominator that will yield a %.
The cells with the dropdown are color coded either red, yellow or white. Red are critical and count more points - yellow are of medium importance and count half of red and white do not count.
So...
Red cell y = 5
Yellow cell y = 2.5
Red cell n = 0
Yellow cell n = 0
Red cell x = 0
Yellow cell x = 0
White cell y - n - x = 0
I need a numerator and a denominator that yields a %. The denominator is the total points available if y was selected for all Red and Yellow cells (total possible points). The denominator is the total of all actual points.
The percent figure indicates what % of all possible points were attained.
Can you provide an estimate?
