I am looking to have the attached nutrition spreadsheet duplicated (to be compatible with Microsoft Excel & Open Office), with one major modification. As it exists, one can enter data per meal by the food item, then the user enters the quantity and subsequent amount of calories and macro nutrients (Protein, Carbohydrates, and Fat in grams). Once these fields are filled out by the food item by portion or quantity, across 4 to 6 meals... the spreadsheet currently automatically calculates the Per Meal Averages (across 4 to 6 meals), The GRAND TOTAL of CALORIES, GRAMS OF PROTEIN, GRAMS OF CARBOHYDRATES, AND GRAMS OF FAT, and then the respective calories for the TOTAL proteins, carbohydrates, and fats (ABSOLUTE LAW: one gram of PROTEIN has 4 Calories, one gram of CARBOHYDRATES also has 4 Calories, and one gram of FAT in contrast has 9 Calories ), and finally the percentage of each macronutrient consumed per day.
The modification I require is for one to be able to enter the GRAND TOTAL CALORIES desired as well as the macronutrient RATIOS (i.e I want to comsume 2800 Calories per day at 30% Protein, 40% Carbohydrates, and 20% Fat)... and then once the food items, quantity, and calories, grams of proteins, carbohydrates, and fats are entered for a given food... the desired TOTAL calories and percentages of these macronutrients % are then entered... and the spreadsheet can adjust what quantity of each food (due to its calories and macronutrient ratios), so that each MEAL has the SAME amount of calories and macronutrient ratios for all 4 to 6 meals entered.... so that they TOTAL at the desired daily amount of calories, and macronutrient ratios, (% Protein, % Carbohydrates, and % Fat). As an example if I reduced the daily desired calories, 1 cup may drop to 0.7 cup, 16g may drop to [url removed, login to view], and so on since food quantities are measured in solid and liquid units of measurement as well as metric and imperial units of measurement. Whatever the unit of measurement is, the spreadsheet should simply reduce or increase it by 0.5 at a minimum to make it [url removed, login to view] perhaps the color can be changed, and the banner at the top changed to a new name and generic logo since we are not affiliated with this company.
