I’m looking for a developer who can dive straight into an Android gacha game that already has a live Erlang backend and a Cocos2dx/Lua client. You’ll be taking over from the previous programmer and working with me every day, so consistent communication and proven experience with this exact stack are essential. Current priorities Right now I need working unit skills, smooth animations, reliable new-skin imports, and solid bug fixing on both front and backend. The unit-skill logic and lingering bugs are the areas that need the most love, so you must feel comfortable tracking down empty tables, desyncs, and rule misfires until they are gone. Automated skin importer overhaul The importer must: • Enhance import accuracy so every texture and mesh lands where it belongs • Improve animation/effect wiring so VFX play correctly first time • Fix any remaining sync issues between server data and client display Daily workflow – Extend and maintain the existing Erlang skin panel features on the server – Refactor and stabilise the Lua side, especially animation hooks – Write and run your own tests; I do a final check, but I expect what you hand over to already work – Push small, reviewable commits each day so we stay aligned Tools in play: Erlang/OTP, Cocos2dx, Lua, Git, Android Studio. If those aren’t second nature, this project isn’t a match. Panel has imported skins from other unity game that fit our game, but some stuff need adjustment to work properly, so panel building knowledge is essential also. This is a long-term, low-overhead collaboration rather than a one-off job, so keep that in mind when you propose your rate. If you have shipped something similar and you’re ready to start immediately, let’s talk.

I’ll start by tracing the empty-table and desync paths between the Erlang unit-skill response and the Cocos2dx/Lua display, reproducing each rule misfire before changing the importer. I’ll then stabilize the Lua animation hooks, verify VFX wiring, and correct the server-to-client skin data flow so imported Unity skins render with the right textures, meshes, and effects. Within 5 days, you’ll have a working stabilization pass covering unit skills, the highest-priority bugs, skin import adjustments, and the Erlang skin-panel changes, delivered through small reviewable Git commits and an Android build for your final check. I can work within your daily workflow and continue refining the system long term. Can you provide the current Erlang/Lua repositories and one imported skin that currently fails? Muhammad Saad

I can take this from scope to a tested handoff without bloating the first milestone. For a Erlang Cocos2dx Gacha Developer, the key is not just the screens but keeping the API and platform-specific behavior stable across devices. My approach would be to first define a playable vertical slice with one habitat and core creature behaviours, then expand the art, animation, and AI systems from that proven loop. Quick question: Do you already have the API and screen designs, or should the first milestone define the end-to-end mobile flow? Also, which devices, OS versions, and store-submission requirements are mandatory for the first release? Best, Dr. Syafiq

Taking over a live gacha game is not about adding features blindly—it is about understanding where Erlang state, Lua logic, imported assets, and Cocos2dx rendering stop agreeing with each other. I can work directly across Erlang/OTP, Cocos2dx, Lua, Git, and Android Studio, focusing first on the unit-skill rules, desyncs, empty-table issues, animation hooks, and skin-import problems already affecting the game. I will also work on the skin panel/importer, improving texture/mesh mapping, VFX and animation wiring, and server-to-client synchronization for Unity-originated skins. My workflow will be small daily commits, self-testing before handoff, and clear communication so fixes can be reviewed quickly. I am comfortable taking ownership of an existing codebase rather than forcing a rewrite, with the goal of making the current system stable enough for continuous feature work. Quick Questions Can you provide the current Erlang/Lua repository and one problematic skin/unit to reproduce the issues? Is the skin panel already functional, with only importer adjustments remaining? Thanks!!!

I understand, you need someone who can take over an existing live Android gacha game and work directly across the Erlang backend and Cocos2dx Lua client. We can focus on stabilizing unit skills, fixing desyncs and rule issues, improving animation and VFX hooks, and making the skin importer reliably handle textures, meshes, effects, and server to client synchronization. We’re comfortable working with an existing codebase, tracing issues across both sides, writing tests before handoff, and keeping daily commits small and reviewable so progress stays clear. 1. How is the current skin importer structured, and does the Erlang panel generate the client resources or mainly manage the imported skin data? 2. For the unit skill issues, do you already have specific reproducible cases for the empty tables, desyncs, and incorrect rule execution? 3. Are the imported Unity skins already converted into Cocos2dx compatible assets, or does the importer need to handle part of that conversion as well?

Hi there. Jumping into an existing live gacha game with an Erlang backend and Cocos2dx/Lua client is risky if the new developer gets bogged down by state desyncs, broken animation hooks, and silent rule misfires that leave your players frustrated. I specialize in untangling complex legacy codebases, stabilizing server-client communication, and refining asset pipelines so your unit skills and imported skins work flawlessly from day one. Before we lock down the workflow, here are my questions: 1. Are the current skin conversion scripts handling Unity export formats natively, or do we need to build a custom intermediate parsing layer? 2. What specific Erlang release version and OTP conventions are currently enforced on the live backend? Drop me a message so we can get started right away.

Inheriting an active Erlang backend alongside a Cocos2dx and Lua client means the primary bottleneck will be state desyncs between server validation and client animation hooks during skin imports. Tracking down silent failures in Lua bindings and empty tables on the OTP side requires a methodical approach to message passing rather than patching symptoms. The skin panel tooling needs direct attention so asset mapping from foreign sources normalizes cleanly into the existing sprite and mesh pipelines without manual adjustments. Are the current skin import scripts failing during the texture packing phase or at the Lua animation hook layer?

Hello!⚡ Thank you for posting your Erlang Cocos2dx Gacha Developer project. Taking over and stabilising live mobile games is exactly the kind of game development I do. I recently took over a Cocos2dx/Lua gacha client with an Erlang/OTP backend, fixed skill desyncs and rebuilt its skin import pipeline. How I'd approach yours: 1. Review the repo, Erlang modules and Lua client, then map every skill and config table 2. Unit skills: fix rule misfires, empty tables and server-client desyncs with tests 3. Skin importer: correct texture and mesh mapping, validated per asset on import 4. Animation and VFX wiring so effects play correctly first time 5. Extend the Erlang skin panel and refactor Lua animation hooks for stability 6. Small daily Git commits with notes, self-tested before your final check I'll keep your game stable and moving forward every day, and make this a success with you. Thanks. Hassan

Hi, I can take over the existing Android gacha game and work directly across the Erlang/OTP backend and Cocos2dx/Lua client, with a focus on unit-skill logic, synchronization issues, animation/VFX behaviour, skin importing, and regression fixes. I’ll trace issues across server state and client rendering rather than treating symptoms separately, including empty tables, rule misfires, desyncs, animation hooks, and incorrect imported assets. I can also work on the existing skin panel/import pipeline, improving texture/mesh mapping and animation/effect wiring while keeping the workflow compatible with the current game. I’m comfortable working through Git with small, reviewable commits and validating changes with my own tests before handoff. Question 1: Can you provide the current Erlang/Lua repositories and a working development build so I can first reproduce the existing unit-skill, skin-import, and synchronization issues? Question 2: Is the current skin panel/importer implemented in Erlang/Lua as part of the existing backend, or does it also include a separate tool/service that handles Unity asset extraction and conversion? Regards, Houssame.

I would start by preserving the existing game and tracing the current failures across both sides: Erlang state/data → protocol payload → Lua tables/hooks → Cocos animation/VFX → rendered result. For unit-skill bugs, I would reproduce each rule misfire first, compare server-authoritative state with the client representation, then patch the smallest failing layer rather than rewriting working systems. For the skin importer I would validate texture/mesh mapping, animation/effect bindings and server/client metadata separately so broken imports can be diagnosed consistently. Deliverables would include priority bug fixes, one stabilized importer path, tests, small daily Git commits and a written technical backlog for continued development. I’m comfortable working in an existing codebase and communicating daily, but I would not claim exact-stack experience I cannot demonstrate.

Hello, Having worked with a wide array of programming languages and frameworks for the past 16 years, including Erlang - the backbone of your project - I am confident in my capacity to take over your Android gacha game. My proficiency in Cocos2dx/Lua is second nature and comes with extensive experience in identifying and fixing bugs, precisely fulfilling your current needs. Epitomising efficient communication necessary for this collaborative job, I will diligently track down those empty tables, desyncs, and rule misfires that have been plaguing the unit-skill logic. My commitment to smooth animations and reliable new-skin imports, coupled with an elaborate understanding of handling data synchronization issues between servers and clients would result in enhanced gaming experience for your users. Additionally, I am no stranger to Git, Android Studio and panel building, which is essential for effective mechanism management as stated by you. Having said that, given this project's focus on a long-term collaboration for undefiled user-experience rather than being a one-off job, I extend my flexibility by adapting rates that could be mutually agreeable. If you're looking for proven experience, expert skill set, promptness to start and minimal overhead collaboration - let's get talking! Thanks!

hi, i can take over the existing Erlang backend and Cocos2dx Lua client and work directly on the current game without disrupting the live setup. i have experience with game backend logic, Lua, client side debugging, animations, asset pipelines and Android builds. i can focus first on the unit skills and existing bugs, then improve the skin importer so textures, meshes, animations and VFX are wired correctly and stay in sync with server data. i’ll work with small daily commits, test changes before handoff and keep the communication consistent so you can review progress without waiting for large batches. are the current skin import issues mostly coming from the panel logic, or from the Lua side after assets are imported? let’s have a quick call to review the current codebase and the highest priority bugs before i start. Hello, After reviewing your project requirements, I fully understand the scope and expectations. I have experience working on Android game projects with Lua-based clients, backend integrations, animation systems, and production bug fixing. I understand that the main challenge is stabilizing the existing Cocos2dx/Lua client while maintaining synchronization with the Erlang backend, especially around unit skills, animations, skin imports, and server-client data consistency. My approach would be to first analyze the current codebase and workflows, reproduce existing issues, then improve the Lua modules, skin importer pipeline, animation/VFX integration, and backend communication with clean Git-based commits and testing after each change. I have a couple of quick questions. • Is the current skin importer panel written in Erlang or a separate service? • Do you have existing test cases or logs for the current skill and synchronization issues? I would be glad to discuss further details and start working closely with your team. Best regards, Carlos.

==== Hi - Truong here ==== "ERLANG COCOS2DX GACHA MAINTENANCE" - you need the existing live game stabilized without disrupting the Erlang backend, Lua client, or skin pipeline. I’d trace the unit-skill flow from Erlang data through the Lua/Cocos2dx client first, focusing on empty tables, desyncs, and rule misfires. For the skin importer, I’d validate texture, mesh, animation, and VFX references together so imported assets are not only present but correctly wired at runtime. Changes would stay in small commits with tests before handoff. Can you provide the current repository and a sample skin that currently imports incorrectly? Looking forward to work with you.

✔ I deliver 100% work — 99.9% is not for me. ✔ Workflow Diagram Codebase Audit ⟶⟶ Skill Logic Debugging ⟶⟶ Erlang Panel Fixes ⟶⟶ Lua Refactor ⟶⟶ Skin Importer ⟶⟶ Animation/VFX Sync ⟶⟶ Client/Server Validation ⟶⟶ Daily Git Commits Key Highlights ✔ Existing Android game takeover ✔ Erlang/OTP backend workflow review ✔ Cocos2dx + Lua client debugging ✔ Unit-skill rules, tables & desync fixes ✔ Skin importer accuracy improvements ✔ Texture/mesh mapping validation ✔ Animation hooks & VFX wiring ✔ Server/client data synchronization ✔ Regression testing before handover ✔ Small, reviewable daily commits I would begin by tracing the current skill pipeline from Erlang data/rules through Lua presentation, reproducing the empty-table, sync and animation failures before changing logic. For the importer, I’ll separate asset mapping, metadata conversion, animation/effect binding and validation so failed imports can be diagnosed instead of patched manually each time.
