Chemical Engineering Project 2

Part 1

Design of hydrodynamic and heat balance equations based on axial dispersion model for slurry bubble column reactor for methanol production through syn gas. Reaction kinetics should be accurately identified.

Develop model equations by considering mass transfer, reaction kinetics and heat flow. Model parameters should be identified.

Do the same for a packed bed reactor(reaction is the same)

Part 2

Use matlab to solve the ODE model equations obtained and obtain graphs to show the variation of conversion with various model parameters
