Please have a look at this work description and the attached files. The attached dataset is not complete, but contains one of the seven sites we hope to get analyzed in this project. We would like for you to submit your offer containing estimated time use and cost, predicted date of completion and which software you intend to use. Any suggestions, ideas or opinions regarding the data and the chosen analysis are most welcome. Please get back at us by June 13. We will then immediately choose one candidate who will receive the project and a complete dataset will be sent. The selection will be based on experience, cost and predicted date of completion. If there are parts of these analysis that you are unfamiliar with please let us know, as we might be able to divide up the work using more than one Freelancer.
This research group sits with large amounts of unanalyzed data and too few people, so if this collaboration works well there will be good opportunities for several other projects this spring.
As soon as possible - no later than the end of June. For an experienced geostatistician this project should not take a long time. We will be able to communicate with you on a daily basis if need.
We would prefer if you could work in Matlab, but there are several other software options out there that you might prefer (R, SPSS, Variowin etc.). The reason we would choose MatLab is that we already have written a lot of codes that you could continue to build on, and this is the software we are most familiar with.
Please take time to [url removed, login to view] attachments, as these explains the different analysis very well and gives a good idea on what we are looking to replicate. The dataset we would like to have analysed contains 3 different variables from seven different sites. It is already set up in a clean and easy way, so it should be pretty straight forward to load these into the computational software.
There are mainly four different analyses we would like to get done:
â€¢ Spatial autocorrelation using variograms
â€¢ Kriging interpolation
â€¢ Analysis of the running mean using a bootstrapping technique
â€¢ Minimum detectable difference
