Your NFC requirement is specific and well-defined — 13.56 MHz, NXP IC, I²C to ESP32, and a PCB antenna with a 20-30mm range target. I've done exactly this kind of RF-sensitive design work, where antenna tuning and layout discipline make the difference between a prototype that works on the bench and one that works in a real enclosure. Here's what I bring to this: → I've designed custom PCBs with integrated antennas for BLE and NFC-adjacent RF systems, including a compact ESP32-C3 air quality monitor and a basketball dribble tracker with tight size constraints → I'll deliver the full package: schematic, 2-layer PCB layout, PCB loop antenna with matching network, BOM, and NFC firmware for the ESP32 over I²C → My process covers everything from antenna resonance tuning to functional testing with different smartphones and power consumption checks — all in-house, including test point placement for 3.3V, GND, I²C, and RESET/IRQ For this scope, the cost would be 1000 INR, which covers the design work, firmware, and testing documentation. Happy to walk you through my approach and past work on a chat.

Hi, We at HardFault can handle the complete NFC design, including the NXP NFC IC integration, ESP32 I²C interface, 13.56 MHz PCB loop antenna, matching/tuning network, schematic, PCB layout, firmware, and prototype testing. We will focus on achieving the required 20–30 mm range while considering antenna resonance, phone orientation, enclosure effects, and RF layout constraints. Since NFC antenna design and tuning require both RF and embedded expertise, our team approach helps ensure a more reliable, production-ready solution rather than only delivering a PCB layout. Do you already have the available PCB dimensions and preferred NXP NFC IC model?

Hi, I'm an RF/electronics engineer specializing in antenna design, PCB layout, and EM simulation — well-suited to this NFC integration at 13.56 MHz. My approach: design the PCB loop antenna sized to your target 20–30 mm range, keeping ground copper and metal/battery clearance per NFC IC guidelines, with an L-match/tuning network placed tight to the NXP IC to minimize RF trace length. I'll partition the antenna/RF area from switching regulators and high-speed digital lines, add local decoupling at the IC, and bring out test points for 3.3V, GND, I²C, and RESET/IRQ. Bring-up includes network analyzer tuning of antenna resonance/impedance match, then functional validation: read/write reliability across phone orientations, achieved range, cross-device testing (multiple smartphone models), power consumption, and a check of final-enclosure effect on performance. Deliverables: schematic, 2-layer PCB layout, antenna design with matching values, BOM, ESP32 I²C firmware for NFC read/write, tuning results, and a functional test report. Happy to start with your IC selection and enclosure/mechanical constraints.

Your NFC design brief is refreshingly detailed — the antenna tuning, test points, and enclosure testing requirements tell me you've thought this through properly. I would love to help bring this to life. Here's what I bring to this: → I've built NFC/RFID systems before, including an RFID water vending machine with a custom ESP32-based PCB that shipped to South Africa → I can handle the full stack — NFC schematic, 2-layer PCB layout with proper antenna keep-outs, matching network, and firmware for the ESP32 over I²C → My in-house lab means I can actually test antenna resonance and range with real smartphones before shipping you the prototype → I can deliver the complete package — schematic, layout, BOM, tuned antenna results, and tested firmware — within 1-2 weeks

Hello, I can develop the complete NFC subsystem, from schematic and PCB antenna design through firmware, antenna tuning and functional validation. I would implement the NXP NFC IC at 3.3 V with an I²C interface to the ESP32/selected MCU. The PCB loop antenna would be designed specifically for 13.56 MHz, with its dimensions optimized according to the available PCB area. I would keep ground copper, battery and other metal structures away from the antenna and provide a dedicated matching network for resonance and impedance tuning. The RF section would use short connections between the NFC IC, matching components and antenna, with switching regulators and noisy/high-speed digital signals isolated from the NFC area. Local decoupling, stable 3.3 V power, RESET/IRQ handling and accessible test points for 3.3 V, GND and I²C would also be implemented. For firmware, I would configure the NFC IC through I²C and implement device detection, NFC read/write operations, smartphone communication and error handling. During validation, I would measure antenna resonance and tune the matching network to 13.56 MHz, then verify communication range, phone orientation sensitivity, power consumption and performance with multiple smartphones. I would also evaluate the effect of the final enclosure on antenna performance. Deliverables will include schematic, PCB, antenna, BOM, firmware, tuning results and functional test results.

Hi, this fits well — I have hands-on experience designing PCB loop/RF antennas and doing matching/tuning work, not just integrating pre-made wireless modules, which is the part of this spec that trips up a lot of "general" PCB designers. For this NFC design I'd cover the full scope: schematic around the NXP NFC IC and ESP32 host over I2C, a PCB loop antenna sized and tuned for 13.56 MHz with proper matching network, and layout following the constraints you've listed — ground clearance around the antenna, RF traces kept short, switching regulators/high-speed digital kept away from the antenna section, local decoupling at the IC, and test points on 3.3V/GND/I2C/RESET-IRQ. On deliverables: schematic, PCB layout, antenna design, BOM, and basic NFC firmware for read/write and detection. For validation I'd measure antenna resonance and tune to 13.56 MHz, verify range (targeting your 20-30mm spec) and reliability across phone orientations and a couple of different smartphones, and note enclosure effects once you have final housing to test against — reporting actual tuning and functional test results, not just simulated numbers. 2-layer PCB, -20°C to 70°C operating range all noted. Happy to discuss hourly rate and weekly hours once scope/timeline is confirmed.

I can design your complete 13.56 MHz NFC solution, including the NXP NFC IC, PCB loop antenna, matching network, RF-aware 2-layer layout, ESP32/MCU I²C interface, firmware, and antenna tuning. I have hands-on experience with antenna design and vendor-specific RF design guidelines, and I understand the importance of antenna geometry, ground keep-outs, matching components, short RF paths, and keeping switching/high-speed circuitry away from the NFC section. For your 20–30 mm target range, I can optimize the PCB antenna around your available mechanical space and provide a tunable matching network. I’ll also account for the battery, enclosure and other nearby metal, since these can significantly shift antenna resonance. I can handle the complete workflow: • NXP NFC schematic + ESP32/MCU I²C interface • 13.56 MHz PCB loop antenna and matching network • RF-aware 2-layer PCB layout with proper keep-outs • BOM with suitable/orderable components • NFC firmware for detection and read/write functions • Antenna resonance/tuning and range testing • Smartphone compatibility and enclosure-effect testing • Final design and functional test documentation I’ve also manufactured hundreds of PCBs through JLCPCB, so I can take the design through fabrication and provide production-ready files. I primarily use EasyEDA, with KiCad also available. If you provide the PCB dimensions/enclosure constraints and preferred NXP IC, I can begin with the antenna and RF architecture.
