I have a junior engineer building the early schematics for an asset-intelligence prototype and I need an experienced embedded-systems specialist to guide the hardware design, write the firmware, and get the first units reliably streaming data to the cloud. The boards must interface with temperature, pressure and motion and more sensors, carry out real-time analysis, perform basic filtering, then aggregate and compress the packets before they leave the device. Security on the wire is non-negotiable, so please be comfortable implementing encrypted transport and key management on resource-constrained MCUs. You will collaborate directly with us on: • Selecting the optimal MCU / wireless stack and finalising the schematic • Integrating the three sensor types and validating their accuracy in lab tests • Coding the firmware (C/C++ or Rust preferred, but I am open) that handles the full local-processing pipeline described above • Setting up secure OTA update hooks so we can iterate quickly • Delivering a clean, well-documented API that hands structured JSON (or a similarly lightweight format) to our cloud ingress endpoint • Producing brief build notes and a bill of materials so we can send the design for a small production run Acceptance criteria: 1. A hand-solderable prototype or assembled dev-kit that boots reliably and logs its start-up sequence over serial. 2. Live sensor data visible in a test dashboard within 200 ms of physical stimulus, proving real-time analysis is functioning. 3. Payload size reduced by the agreed compression ratio before transmission. 4. Encrypted packets pass penetration tests using industry-standard tooling. 5. Source files, schematics, BOM and firmware are pushed to our private repo with build instructions that reproduce the result on a fresh workstation. If this fits your background in PCB layout, low-power firmware and secure IoT data pipelines, I’d like to start immediately and iterate in tight weekly milestones until we have field-ready hardware.

A batch of firmware fixes can't undo a schematic decision — your 200 ms stimulus-to-dashboard target and the "encryption is non-negotiable" line are both settled at MCU selection, not in code. I'm Majeed, an embedded engineer who takes projects end to end — schematic through firmware to cloud ingress. Closest match to yours: an ESP32 sensor-to-cloud platform running [200+] field devices over MQTT, where the hard part was the same as yours — keeping the pipeline honest when the link drops, solved with offline ring-buffering and reconnect-safe batching so no sample was lost between edge and dashboard. Why me? -> Schematic reviewed with your junior engineer before layout, so MCU and crypto choices get locked early. -> Full in-house lab to bench-validate temperature, pressure and motion accuracy against references. -> In-house sensor inventory — those sensor families are on hand, no overseas sourcing wait. -> Direct China fab relationships and a local QC team for your production run. -> Daily progress updates against your weekly milestones. -> Clean, documented code and build steps that reproduce on a fresh workstation. -> Free 3D-printable enclosure guide included once board and firmware are locked. Worth a short call to settle the MCU and wireless stack before your engineer commits the schematic to layout?

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Your project is a strong match for my 15+ years of embedded and electronics development experience. I can work alongside your junior engineer to review the architecture, resolve hardware decisions, and take the prototype through firmware, secure connectivity, and cloud validation. I’d start by reviewing the existing schematics and sensor requirements, then finalize the MCU/wireless architecture with attention to processing capacity, power consumption, security, and latency. My approach: Review and refine the schematic, MCU, wireless stack, and sensor interfaces. Develop firmware for acquisition, filtering, real-time analysis, aggregation, and compression. Implement secure communications, key handling, and OTA update infrastructure. Build the cloud-facing data interface and validate the <200 ms response requirement. Document the hardware, BOM, firmware build process, and test results for your production run. I’m comfortable with C/C++ embedded development and can structure the code cleanly for long-term maintenance and collaboration. Security will be designed into the architecture rather than added after the prototype works. I’d suggest starting with your junior engineer’s current schematic, sensor list, and target wireless/cloud stack. From there we can establish weekly milestones and quickly identify any architectural changes needed before hardware is committed.

I can help you take this prototype from schematic to field-ready hardware by concentrating on the decisions that actually de-risk the build—component selection, firmware architecture, and the secure data path. Before we lock in the schematic, I’ll validate your junior engineer’s work against the specific constraints of your sensors: input impedance, sampling rates, and power stability. It’s far cheaper to catch a noise or grounding issue in the layout than after the boards are assembled. For firmware, my focus is on the pipeline you described: raw acquisition → real-time filtering → local analysis → aggregation → compressed payloads. I’ll implement this in C for maximum control over memory and timing, with a thin abstraction layer so we can swap sensors or MCU families without a rewrite. I’ll also handle the security layer directly—TLS with proper key storage and rotation on the MCU, not a bolt-on afterthought. You’ll get reproducible build instructions, a clean API for your cloud team, and OTA hooks from day one. Let’s start with the schematic review and a working serial boot log, then iterate from there.

I have 10+ years of experience in embedded hardware and firmware development, including custom STM32/ESP32 boards, sensor nodes, wireless communication, power management, and production-ready PCB design. For this project, I can handle: • MCU/wireless architecture and schematic finalisation • Temperature, pressure, motion and additional sensor integration • PCB review/layout and prototype bring-up • C/C++ firmware with filtering, real-time processing, aggregation and compression • Secure communication, encryption and key-management architecture • OTA update framework • Structured cloud API/JSON payload integration • Sensor validation and performance testing • BOM, build documentation and reproducible firmware setup I would structure the work into weekly milestones: architecture → hardware/sensor integration → firmware pipeline → secure cloud communication → OTA → validation and handover. I’m comfortable working directly with your junior engineer, reviewing the existing schematics and explaining design decisions rather than simply replacing the work. I can also provide a practical prototype using an STM32 or ESP32-class platform first, allowing the sensor pipeline and cloud communication to be validated before committing to the final PCB. I’m ready to review your existing schematic, sensor list and cloud/API requirements and start immediately.

This is a full-stack embedded project with real constraints—sensors, real-time filtering, secure transport, and OTA updates all on a resource-constrained MCU. I'm well-suited to own the hardware and firmware side from start to finish. For the hardware, I'll guide your junior engineer through finalizing the schematic, selecting the right MCU and wireless stack, and integrating the sensor front-ends with proper signal conditioning. I'll lay out the PCB with careful attention to power rails, grounding, and EMC so your analog readings aren't swimming in noise. The deliverable will be a production-ready design with BOM and build notes. On the firmware side, I'll write C/C++ code that handles real-time sensor acquisition, basic filtering, and data aggregation before compressing and encrypting the payload. I'll implement secure transport and key management appropriate for the MCU you choose, and set up OTA update hooks so you can iterate without physical access. The cloud-facing API will produce structured JSON (or a lightweight alternative) that hits your ingress endpoint cleanly. For acceptance, you'll have a hand-solderable prototype that boots reliably, streams sensor data to a test dashboard within 200ms, hits your compression target, and passes encryption validation. All source, schematics, and build instructions will live in your private repo. If this fits, let's talk specifics—MCU preferences, sensor part numbers, and your cloud endpoint details. I'm ready to start iterating in weekly milestones.

Hi, reacting to any physical sensor right after if happen and send it to dashboard can be very power consuming, either from WiFi, ethernet or GSM, and if it happen a lot, it can drain the power quickly, unless we have massive battery, and sensor data wont be compressable, its already very small, typically couple byte. I can help you build this project very quickly and make it more reliable, i have 11 years of experience in embedded system engineering

Absolutely , this is a strong fit for an embedded systems engagement focused on hardware bring-up, secure firmware, and reliable cloud connectivity. I can help guide the schematic decisions, select a practical MCU and wireless stack, and take the firmware from early prototype through reliable data streaming. The scope you outlined is exactly the kind of work where tight iteration matters: sensor validation, local filtering and compression, encrypted transport, OTA hooks, and a clean interface to your cloud ingress endpoint. I’m comfortable working alongside a junior engineer to accelerate the design while keeping the implementation production-minded. I can also provide build notes, a reproducible firmware workflow, and a clear BOM so the prototype can move toward a small production run without rework. A sensible first milestone would be: confirm the MCU/platform choice, validate the sensor chain on the bench, and get startup logging plus secure transport working end-to-end. From there, we can tighten latency, payload size, and OTA readiness in weekly increments until the acceptance criteria are met. If you’d like, I can start by reviewing the current schematic and recommending the fastest path to a reliable first prototype.
