I need to modify one default parameter associated with the Kodi media player running on a Raspberry Pi 3 board. In order to do this I need to be able to recompile the source code for this application. I am currently running Kodi 15.2 Git 02e7013 installed and running from the default raspbian linux distribution - gnu/linux 8 (jessie) (kernel: Linux 4.4.38-v7+). I have attempted to recompile Kodi myself, but have run into version, toolchain, source code, and incorrect documentation issues. I don't believe this is difficult but I believe it will take some time to assemble all the tools and source code. Deliverables will include instructions - preferably a bash script - which will build the distributed version of Kodi 15.2 and allow me to install it on a second Raspberry Pi 3 that does not include the development environment.

Hi, If the main purpose of the RPi boards are going to be media player/storage, I highly recommend to build a customized Openelec/Libreelec (deploys latest stable Kodi version) image. If there is other reasons to use standalone Kodi on Raspbian, I'll build a customized/patched Kodi package for Raspbian as you needed.
