The project is to develop simple and miniature digital scale (based on 3-4 strain gauges), amplification circuit, and micro controller to sample the reading. The scale resolution must be less than 10g, with full scale of 0-5KG.
The embedded code will be developing using MSP430G2211IPN14 (TI lunchpad).
The BOM for the electronics should not cost more than $4 for all components, excluding the MCU and strain gauges.
The strain gauges amplifier must be able to handle 3 or 4 wires strain gauges, and support 3 or 4 strain gauges.
The MCU will report the data by command using the UART, and allow remote zero'ing.
Project will be tested fully before approving it.
More specific details will be supplied to top bitters.

There is an option to do only the analog amplification part of the project, instead of full project.
This will include Finding 4 load cells (Less that $1.3 per each), amplification circuit to meet MCU ADC requirements ($3 for all 4 channels).
