The Project

The following provides a brief description of 2 small electronic circuits to be redesigned to incorporate state of the art technologies.

The selected freelancer will design the new version, hardware and software, layout the PCBs, order the proto PCBs and parts, assemble and test the prototypes,

More detailed information will be provided including original schematics and physical specs with the awarded assignment.

The first device receives commands to measures differential pressure and environmental temperature and transmits measured data over one 2 wire cable line which is also its power source. It works within a network of many such units on this 2 wire cable using addresses and allotted time slots. The new design will incorporate the latest low power precision regulator to lower the total network line current thus improve network performance.

There are but a few and simple instructions to the unit, some for bench testing and one for regular reading once on the network. The protocol will be provided with the mandate.

The second unit interfaces a network of the above and PLC. It provides power to the network and transfer commands, receives and converts data from the network and sends data to the PLC.
