I am currently making a game in which there are 15 LED push buttons that need to be wired and connected to a black light. The ONLY way that the black light will turn on is if LED push buttons 1-8 are pressed and LED push buttons 9-15 are not (no other combination of pushing buttons / not pushing buttons will turn the black light on).
Here is the catch, each LED Push button has its own ring of LED light on it, and I need it so that whenever a LED push button is pressed, the ring of light on that corresponding button will turn on, and whenever the button is not pressed, the ring of LED will not be on, regardless if the button is the correct one to turn on the Black light or not.
I have tried to wire everything in series (LEDs to the Switch contacts to the next LED to the next switch contact etc. etc.), but this doesn't work because the rings of LED lights wont turn on individually when pressed until the correct combination of 1-8 ON and 9-15 OFF are set. I need it so that no matter what, the ring of LED light will always turn on/off when pressed/not pressed, but also work for the game so that it HAS to be 1-8 ON and 9-15 OFF to turn on the blacklight.
I have also tried to wire the LED on each individual switch in parallel to the power source separate from the switch contacts, but this method leaves the ring of LED light ALWAYS on no matter if the button is pressed or not.
