I need an ultra compact solution for a small led that can operate from an integrated power source (ie, battery) for 3 years or longer. This led needs to operate 24hours a day, 7 days a week for that entire duration.
The led should be cery visible in a dark room. It does not need to fill a small room completely with light (this is more for a safety indicator).
We are open to lithium batteries or a super cap, for example. However, the complete product (led and power source) needs to stay extremely thin and small. Perhaps even flexible. One example for size reference would be smaller than a business card in height and width, preferably inder 1.5-2mm thick.
