Codesys 3.5 Structured text project

We use mostly IFM product for the main hardware, screen and IO modules, along with various analog and digital sensors, and all the coding is done in IFM’s Codesys 3.5 package which is a free download and has a simulator built in. We have a working program which we would like checked and tidied up. Its been written by a non programmer, mostly in structured text, and reasonably well commented. After the existing code is tidied up there are a number of POU’s we want coded and integrated into the hmi. We manufacture a number of different models of product, which have varying needs, so the code needs to allow us to switch on and off functions depending on what sensors or options are installed. An example of a module is a mass scaling system, reading a sensor on each axle of the truck and displaying the loaded weight on the HMI with options to warn or stop the operator overloading. The sensors may be an angle meter, a pressure transducer or a load cell. The module will need to incorporate a service page with calibration functions. Other modules will be items like data logging First step is the review of the code and and gaining confidence in the freelancers abilities.
