Twelve centimetres tall with a clean outer edge is the part that decides whether this cuts well: the silhouette needs to stay one continuous, laser-friendly line even with busy shelves and toys inside it, so I'd lock that outline first before filling in the detail work, keeping everything flat and front-facing so nothing on the shelves reads as receding into depth.
