I need an experienced AWS DevOps engineer to turn our manually created EC2 instances, S3 buckets, and RDS databases into fully automated, repeatable infrastructure. Infrastructure automation is the only priority at this stage; once that foundation is solid we can layer on any extra CI/CD work ourselves. You’ll translate the current environment into Infrastructure-as-Code, wiring in lifecycle hooks, tags, and sensible defaults so new stacks launch the same way every time. Whether we settle on Ansible, Chef, or Puppet is open for discussion—I’m happy to choose whichever best fits the AWS tooling you prefer to pair it with (CloudFormation, Terraform, CDK, etc.). What matters is that the end result is easy for the team to read, version-control, and extend. Deliverables • Code-based definitions for all existing EC2, S3, and RDS resources • Idempotent playbook / cookbook / manifest for environment provisioning • Read-me style documentation that lets another engineer spin everything up from scratch in one command • A brief hand-off call or video walkthrough so knowledge is transferred and questions are closed out I already have AWS accounts, IAM roles, and a rough inventory of what’s running; you’ll get full access to that. Looking forward to seeing how you would approach making our infrastructure completely hands-free.

Hi, I can help you convert your existing AWS environment into clean, fully automated, and repeatable infrastructure using Infrastructure-as-Code as the single source of truth. I’ll start by reviewing your current EC2, S3, and RDS setup and translating it into version-controlled IaC using a toolset that best fits your team—Terraform, CloudFormation/CDK paired with Ansible (or Chef/Puppet if preferred). All resources will be defined with consistent naming, tagging, lifecycle policies, and sensible defaults so every environment behaves the same way on each launch. The automation will be idempotent and easy to extend, allowing new stacks to be provisioned from scratch with a single command. I’ll also ensure the structure is readable and maintainable, not just “working.” Deliverables will include complete code definitions for all existing resources, provisioning scripts/playbooks, and clear README-style documentation so another engineer can reproduce the environment confidently. I’ll also provide a short handoff call or walkthrough to close any gaps and answer questions. My focus is strictly on infrastructure automation no unnecessary CI/CD or extras—so you end up with a solid, hands-free foundation you can build on safely. We can discuss the budget later. Best Regards, SaD

Hi there, I can definitely help get your AWS setup fully automated. I'd recommend we stick with Terraform for the heavy lifting (infrastructure) and Ansible for the server configs—it's way lighter and easier to manage than Chef or Puppet since you don't need agents running everywhere. I can handle the import of your existing resources so we don't break anything live, then script it all out so you can spin up new environments with a single command. Best, Ahmad

Hi there, I read your requirement for automating your existing manual environment (EC2, RDS, S3). I understand that your priority right now is strictly Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), not CI/CD pipelines. I specialize in AWS CDK (TypeScript). This fits your need perfectly because it allows me to define your "foundation" as a strongly-typed library. It’s easier to read and extend than YAML/JSON configurations. I recommend AWS Fargate to eliminate OS maintenance (Ansible/patching) entirely. However, if you strictly prefer EC2, I can fully automate your current setup using CDK. Scope of Work: 1. Foundational Stacks: AWS CDK code to provision the VPC, Security Groups, and IAM Roles. 2. Data & Storage: CDK constructs to import and manage your existing RDS and S3 resources. 3. Compute Definitions: CDK code to provision the Fargate Services (or EC2 AutoScaling Groups). 4. Documentation: A "How-to-Provision" README for your team to spin up the environment. Out of Scope: - Building CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions/CodePipeline). - Application feature development. I am ready to deliver this clean, version-controlled infrastructure layer so your team can take over from there.

Hi, I can help you convert your manually created AWS infrastructure into clean, repeatable Infrastructure-as-Code with strong emphasis on readability, idempotency, and long-term maintainability. My approach is to first inventory existing EC2, S3, and RDS resources, then translate them into version-controlled modules with sensible defaults, tagging standards, and lifecycle policies so new environments launch consistently every time. Tooling Approach: I recommend Terraform + AWS best practices, with optional Ansible for configuration management if needed. This combination keeps the infrastructure declarative, modular, and easy for your team to extend without vendor lock-in. Deliverables: • Code definitions for EC2, S3, and RDS resources • Idempotent provisioning scripts/modules • Clear README with one-command environment spin-up • Tagging, lifecycle hooks, and environment variables standardized • Knowledge-transfer call and documentation for smooth hand-off I focus on automation clarity, minimal complexity, and infrastructure stability so your team can confidently build CI/CD layers afterward.

Hello, I’m a senior AWS DevOps engineer with 15 years of experience helping teams convert manually built AWS environments into fully automated, repeatable Infrastructure-as-Code. I’ve done this many times for EC2, S3, and RDS estates where consistency, readability, and long-term maintainability matter more than flashy CI/CD. For this engagement, I’ll inventory your current setup and translate it into clear, version-controlled IaC (Terraform or CloudFormation, based on fit), paired with idempotent configuration management (Ansible preferred, but Chef/Puppet are fine if there’s a reason). I’ll bake in sensible defaults, tagging, and lifecycle handling so environments spin up the same way every time. A couple of quick questions to align early: 1- Are there multiple environments (dev/stage/prod) to model now, or just one? 2- Any compliance or naming/tagging standards already in place? Happy to get started and make the infrastructure truly hands-free.

Hello, I’m an AWS-focused DevOps engineer with hands-on experience turning manually managed infrastructure into clean, repeatable Infrastructure-as-Code. I can translate your existing EC2, S3, and RDS setup into a fully automated, version-controlled stack using Terraform, with consistent tagging, sensible defaults, and lifecycle management so new environments spin up identically every time. My approach: Audit and map the current AWS resources Convert them into readable, modular IaC Ensure idempotent provisioning and safe re-runs Provide clear README-style documentation to deploy everything from scratch with one command I’ve worked with AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, Route 53, SES, and I prioritize simplicity, maintainability, and team ownership over over-engineering. CI/CD can easily be layered on later once the foundation is solid. I’m comfortable working with full AWS access and existing inventories, and I focus on making infrastructure truly hands-free and easy to extend. Happy to discuss tooling choices and next steps.
