I am thinking about outsourcing call centers for my businesses to India, I have some concerns, mainly that customers will realize the accent of the people at the call centers, realize that they are from India (or another foreign country.. we are in the U.S.) and then be affected by this such as thinking that we are "not a legitimate company" or have some issues with the fact that we do not have a call center in the United States.
- I myself know that people in Indian (and other countries) call centers do a great job and usually have a great knowledge of the English language, however the vast distance between us makes it such that it seems the accent, voice recognition issue will always be there..
- I have thought of what could be a solution to this, which would be using voice changer technology so as to make the people's voices at these call centers sound more "neutral" meaning that they would not have a pronounced accent.
- I am wondering if anyone has ever heard of technology like this before or used it, please bid and describe what you know here as I would be very interested in working with you.
