I have 53 bank statements in PDF Format. Each file has an average of 40 transactions (maximum estimate - definitely no more). I would like each individual transaction entry copied into a spreadsheet. A single spreadsheet will be used for all transactions in the 53 statements
The spreadsheet format should exactly match the PDF format with a column for 'Date', 'Transaction', 'Debit', 'Credit', 'Balance'. An example spreadsheet will be provided.
The spreadsheet column data types are:
'Date' - date (should include year)
'Transaction' - text
'Debit' - Number formatted as ($0.00)
'Credit' - Number formatted as ($0.00)
'Balance' - Number formatted as ($0.00)
Everything in the PDF files, other than the transactions, should be ignored.
The opening and closing balance entries should be ignored
The spreadsheet should contain all transactions in date order (earliest first)
The full text of the description field in the PDF transactions must be copied exactly into the spreadsheet transaction field.
Note: The PDF text is extractable (not an image). This may or may not help.
An example PDF statement and the spreadsheet format will be provided on request.
