This job is to create a functioning calorie calculator and provide us with everything we need to embed it into our website. Upon entering all required data, the calculator MUST provide:
1) a maintenance level of calories/kj (eg 2540 cal / 10627kj); and
2) their GOAL calories (based upon the 'goal' field that they select.
The calorie calculator should be very similar to the one at this website: [url removed, login to view] at point "2. Basic Info".
i.e need data capture for:
- activity level: *see options below
- body fat percentage - if inserted - uses the Katch-McArdle Formula)
- waist - if inserted (calculates waist to height ratio)
However, unlike this calculator, we ALSO want a field that captures their GOAL calories: ie "Select Your Goal" which has multiple options including:
- build muscle without fat
- lose [url removed, login to view] FAT week
- lose 1lb FAT per week
- lose 1.5 lb FAT per week
- lose 2lb FAT per week

You will need:
- to know how to arrange an excel document with all of the inputs to calculate the DAILY MAINTENANCE CALORIES and GOAL CALORIES;
- how to use the Harriss Benedict Formula and the Katch-McArdle Formula - see [url removed, login to view]
- *for activity levels use the following multipliers:
Sedentary: little or no exercise, x1.2
Lightly Active: light exercise/sports 1-3 days/week, [url removed, login to view]
Moderately Active: moderate exercise/sports 3-5 days/week, [url removed, login to view]
Very Active: hard exercise/sports 6-7 days a week, [url removed, login to view]
Extra Active: very hard exercise/sports and physical job, x1.9
- to calculate their goal calories, you simply use the following:
- build muscle without fat --> maintenance calories per day x 1.2
- lose [url removed, login to view] FAT week --> maintenance calories per day - 250 cal
- lose 1lb FAT per week -- maintenance calories per day - 500 cal
- lose 1.5 lb FAT per week --> maintenance calories per day - 750
- lose 2lb FAT per week --> maintenance calories per day - 1000 cal
