I measured this before bidding on 10 cells chosen to break naive transfers: embedded newlines, quotes with commas, leading zeros, trailing spaces, formula-like text, non-ASCII names. All 10 survived the round trip exactly. The finding: a cell containing a line break silently becomes two rows. My 10 cells came out as 11 rows the naive way, so the file looks fine while the row count is wrong. So the deliverable checks row and cell counts against the source before handing over, and reports any cell that changed. Python and openpyxl, UTF-8 with BOM so Excel opens it clean.
