Customer Service Assistant
The Customer Service Assistant works closely with Account Representatives in ensuring that shipment information is accurately recorded so that drivers and trucks can be then be assigned to haul customer freight. Day and Night shifts available.
Customer Service Assistant Responsibilities:
Assist with the acceptance of freight using AS/400
Schedule pick-up and delivery appointments for outbound shipments
Track and monitor freight in transit
Receive and cross-reference driver Bills of Lading for accurate documentation and payroll
Research proofs of delivery
Data entry and reporting
Customer Service Assistant Requirements:
Proficient and accurate data entry
Ability to perform in a deadline-driven environment with rapidly changing priorities
High degree of initiative and independent execution
Extremely organized and communicative
Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel functions is required; some familiarity with AS400 operating system is ideal
Ability to handle high volumes of inbound and outbound email
