I am looking for a freelancer who can monitor the English-language news media in Bangladesh, India, and Pakistan for certain types of business-related news stories. The following links on Mondo Times provide some good lists of such news sources to help the freelancer get started:
- Bangladesh: [url removed, login to view]
- India: [url removed, login to view]
- Pakistan: [url removed, login to view]
These Mondo Times lists, however, are not comprehensive; Bangladesh's [url removed, login to view] and India's Hindustan Times are both missing, for example. So, it would be helpful if the freelancer is familiar with what English-language news media are present in these three countries.
Each day, the freelancer will keep track of his/her findings in a Google Docs spreadsheet that will include:
- Date of publication
- Title of the news story
- Name of the news source
- Name of the journalist
- Journalist's email
- A 1-sentence explanation of the news story
If you think you can do this job, place a bid for 1 month of work and I will provide you with exact details about the types of news stories I am looking for and what I want to accomplish with the information that you will be compiling.
After I explain the instructions, I will ask all bidders who are still interested in this project to answer a few short questions to demonstrate their comprehension of the task before I award the project. Some previous job candidates that I've talked to have had difficulty understanding my instructions, so hopefully this process will help clear up any confusion.
The freelancer will be expected to begin working within one day after he/she accepts the job. So, it is important that you display a solid understanding of the work that you will be completing. If you have any questions at all, don't be afraid to ask before you accept the job!
