This is a very easy job as I will explain below.
I am a plumber in London. I average around 5-6 jobs per day. I am now taking someone on after taking a break and will be advertising more. So, only two people in this business. A little more work though. I need someone to answer my calls. Handle my schedule and keep customers informed of when I will be arriving. A phone number will be put on my website and the customers call with be routed to your landline and you answer the call. Take the booking down. I expect to be getting around 6-10 bookings per day. Once you have taken all the information down you give the customer a date of when I can come and a time slot, such as 8am-1pm. If they agree you put the info onto the google spreadsheet which is also viewable by me because its a spreadsheet you can share it. Then thats done. The evening before the job takes place I will give you the exact times of all jobs for the next day. You need to call the customers and give them their times. eg call customer 1 and say I will be there at 8am, call customer 2 and say I will be there are 11am etc etc. All very simple. Some customers will ask for a receipt. Around 30-50% of customers normally do. Either I can hand write a receipt for them or you can send them a receipt. I prefer you make a PDF receipt using my business logo and edit this and send it to the next customer. Just changing the customers details.
Some customers will call with technical questions but you wont be expected to know everything from the start. I deal in gas safety certificate, energy performance certificates and electrical certificates so I will need to make you aware of the rules and regulations regarding these.
All customers you deal with are landlords and normally very very nice.

You will deal with the customer the following way:
They will call a mobile number in the UK and this will be routed to your landline or skype if possible? Maybe mobile, whichever is cheaper. You take down bookings. When you call them it will be using skype, landline or mobile, again, whichever is cheaper. I dont know anything about call costs yet so I cannot make a truely informed decision about this yet. I will need advice from the potential applicant so any knowlegde of this will be appreciated and looked kindly upon. I really need someone to tell me call costs that I will incur to decide whether or not to outsource this work abroad.
Working hours: Monday to Friday 8am-5pm UK time. More hours available. I can write on my website - call any time and this will help my business make a little more money and for this I can pay more money to you. However this will only increase business by maybe 1 job per week as they have the option to call in normal business hours. We can negotiate this later on.
Payment: I will pay for all calls, usually before you incur the actual charges. Calls must be itemised because you could call anyone in the UK and I would be billed for it.
Wages will be paid weekly but the first 2 weeks wages will be held in hand. This is because I require 2 weeks notice from you if you want to leave.
The job is very easy and laid back and I am a good person to work for. I had another lady working for me who was in the UK and she enjoyed the work. She found another job when I took a long holiday and now she enjoys that work.
My business website is gas safety certificate dot info so you can check what I do - very straight forward.
I need someone efficient, good on the phone and very very reliable. I am busy all day everyday as my customers appreciate my work ethic and my efficient working manner. This is a long term job for someone reliable. Wages to be discussed but not my most important criteria.
