Three months ago I hired a freelancer to customize a Wordpress theme blog, using Noblesse theme, for my client's web site. He completed the job, however, there were issues with using the post editor and posting on the blog and my client did not bring them to my attention until 3 months later. My client assured me that there were no updates or no other modifications and that the post editor did not fully work from the beginning. I went back to the freelancer and he would not support fixing the issues without additional payment. I hired him again on a private job posting and paid him for the job but he rejected the job and here is what he said: "Please repost this job for 30 days. Not to be alarmed - I will be completing it in 2 days but I no longer accept projects with less than a 30 day buffer in case time is lost for release of payment as well as a review which will result in the project being called \"Failed\" Please rehire me again but for 30 days." He did not complete the job in 2 days and he is not working in the [url removed, login to view] guidelines, so I told him I would find another freelancer to work on the job. I am hoping you have the skills and can do this job for me.
The Wordpress theme that was used and modified was Noblesse. It is a page on the client's web site: [url removed, login to view] - The rest of their web site was built in html NOT Wordpress. The only area on the site that uses Wordpress is this Blog page.
This is what needs to be fixed:
1) When adding a post using the visual editor it allows you to click on all the icons to format the text such as bold, italic, bullet, numbers etc. and it appears in the visual editor as you are doing it, however, when you preview or publish the post, it does not hold the formatting. I tested it a few times and it seems some of the formatting is holding such as alignment of the text buttons but most of the formatting does not.
Not appearing when previewed or published and I need fixed:
I need all formatting to work in the visual editor and when you preview it and when you publish it.
2) Blockquote - is working however it appears as a black blockquote box and the text is defaulted to the same color as well so you can't see the text because it is the same color as the blockquote box. Please change blockquote box color to blue (66cccc) & with black text so you can read it.
I am attaching a 3 pg pdf with the screenshots and sticky notes so you can see what I mean. Please read all notes.
Please let me know if you are interested in taking on this project. Of course I need to get this fixed as soon as possible as I lost a week of time trying to work with the previous freelancer. I need to have a Wordpress freelancer in place for any on-going changes or updates for this client's blog in the future as well so I would like to build great communication and relationship so future projects can be done.
If you need any more detailed information that I have not sent to you on the pdf attachment, please let me know and I will happy to answer any questions.
