I have a VBA template project - created in MSWord 2003 - these use db fields, protected text areas, and "MT fields" (the fields for the typists), for users of Office 2003, 2007 and 2010. Whenever a user is in 2007/10 and types into the 2003 VBA template, the font is changed to calibri, sometimes bolded. Also, users can't highlight/bold/underline, etc. when in the typing fields. The project code is already written, I need someone to review our needs, the code, and fix the problems/errors that we are facing, as well as to improve some things on the user forms (like sortable column headers...) THeh forms and modules codes are already written - this is "clean up" work.
Our company needs to create close to 300 different templates; this VBA project made template creation possible. We've created about 90 so far, but the formatting issues concern us. We are a medical transcription company that types reports for doctors - each doctor has their own type of reports, thus we are creating templates that include all headers, headings. Then the typists listen to voice files (by dictators) and fill in the "MT fields", the "guts" of the reports, and the finished report are saved, then uploaded to the server.
I need someone who is familiar with the issues of an Office 2007/2010 user trying to work witha VBA program written for MSWord 2003.
Are you that guy? ;-)
NOTE: If chosen for interview, I expect the applicant to be willing to review the project at no cost - before bidding the fixed price. The template program is already created, it's only the issues that need addressing. The VBA template is used while connected to a database, user enters or chooses data for 4-5 database fields which are refreshed and entered into the template. User types in fields, and should be able to use normal fomatting functions within those fields. The finished document is saved to the db (in .doc format). All this is already completed. I need a savvy, quick-but-thorough programmer to review the project, fix formatting issues - this is not starting from scratch, the code for typing fields can be automatically inserted into the template. Again, forms and modules code are already written, most everything works in terms of database and template creation.
