A figure who carried the hopes, pride, and identity of an entire community. The moment my dad said that, I knew there was a deeper story here worth telling. Logline: A trusted interpreter living in the shadow of baseball’s greatest superstar risks everything when gambling debts and family pressure push him into a desperate scheme to impersonate his employer and siphon millions—blurring the line between loyalty and betrayal until the truth inevitably closes in. I’ve been developing this script with the same stubborn persistence that defines the writing process itself. So far the screenplay has received one 7 and two 6s on The Black List. Those scores tell me something important: the story is working, but it isn’t finished yet.
