An engineering information company is seeking writers/editors to produce quality news articles about the development and revisions of manufacturing standards (or regulations) in the following languages: French, German, Russian, Spanish, Chinese, and Japanese. The articles must address the aerospace, aviation, automotive, construction, electronics, telecommunications and energy industries. Minor industries include academic, medical device, automation & control, environmental management, parts for manufacturing, banking & investment, rail & shipping.
We are looking for 3000 stories by the end of July. Individuals who can do only a part of this work are welcome to apply. This is research work for people with an understanding of languages, engineering standards, and the Internet. We will also consider working with an agency or company to manage the output of multiple writers and editors.
Articles must be copyright-free and must address hard news about engineering standards and other compliance issues. Articles must conform to generally accepted journalistic principles and be timely and informative. Articles with a relatively long shelf life are preferred. Sources must be cited and may include Standards Development Organizations, Standards Technical Committees, Government Compliance Agencies, Government Standards Bodies, etc. Topics such as committee meeting schedules, organizational announcements, personnel changes and public relations announcements are NOT acceptable.
Articles should be provided electronically by email with descriptions and keywords provided in native languages. All stories will be posted on a website.
The ideal writer is an individual with a technical, engineering background and a solid knowledge of the standards and regulatory issues surrounding one or more of the above sectors/industries who can produce high volumes of quality copy.
