I have around 500 biographical files, about a page each, that must be reviewed to be sure there is only file one per person. In several cases there are two or more files per person ??" I need to have those files combined (cut-and-paste only, no editing) so that there's only one per person. Also, rename the file to a certain format (attached file).
This job does not require any text editing, proofreading, spell-checking, etc. At most a basic cursory review of any files that seem to be about the same person, then copy-and-pasting the contents of the files together into one file, and naming the file according to a certain standard format. There are 431 files in this set.
There is also another part of this job that deals with a separate set of files ??" we know these file are already only one-per-person. These files simply need to be renamed one-by-one according to the same naming standard. There are 176 files in this set.
Part 1 - From a separate set of biographical files (440 files), determine which persons have 2 or more files, and combine those files so that each person has only one file. Also create a list of those person's names.
Part 2 - Rename the files in a given set of biographical files (176 files, one file per person) according to a given standard. Also create a list of those person's names.
See Attached file "[url removed, login to view]" for more details on these requirements.
One **.zip file** containing two directories: "PART1_allBios" and "PART2_shortBios", which contain the following:

* The file "[url removed, login to view]" containing an alphabetically sorted list of properly formatted names of people, on name for each of the biographical files in this directory.
* 176 text files, properly named.
* The file "[url removed, login to view]" containing an alphabetically sorted list of properly formatted names of people, one name for each of the 176 biographical files in this directory.
