I am creating a web app that will be a searchable database of a limited set of the most popular video production tools in the classifications of:
- computer (mac and pc)
- computer parts
- media based electronics (camcorders, mixers, speakers, etc...)
- content creation apps (including a range of older & current version #'s)
- OS (including a range of older & current version #'s) and
- video/audio file types (with selected specifications).
For the physical items I will NOT need a complete data set - only essential ones that I will pre-determine like:
make / model # / format, etc... (i.e. Canon / XH-A1 / HDV).
Likewise, for the media files I also will NOT need a complete data set - only certain pre-determined info like:
file name / format type / extension name / codec type, etc... (i.e. QuickTime / media container / .mov / [url removed, login to view]).
I am working with a web developer that will plug this data into a L.A.M.P. stack. I would prefer to have the data delivered in .csv and to be guaranteed that it is "scrubbed". And besides just the data I would also like to know if my overall classification of data sets are correct and makes sense for my RDB.
Thanks - I'm looking forward to the proposals.
