Hi,
I have this access db (.mdb format) that is locked in some way, I get this error when trying to open it in Access ... "you do not have the necessary permissions to use ...". FYI, I don't know its version but when opening in a text editor, I see that it's a JET DB which will certainly give you a clue on the version
Your task is to create a new, unprotected and unlocked database out of it.
This is a very urgent project and I would like to have the new database yet today.

Please provide more details regarding locked application. Encrypted / secured / file error etc.
If you are certain that the file extension is .MDB, then my bid holds true. I have a pet peeve about people who don't share their code and would be happy to unlock the database for you!
I've over 18 years experience with MS Access. This could be a permissions thing on the file system where the Access database is, rather than the .MDB file itself, but I have a program which can remove passwords from M Plus
