I am bringing a 4000-ton metal-forming press brake online that is driven by a Delem DA-51 CNC controller, and I need an experienced specialist to see the project through commissioning. The machine will be dedicated to forming thick steel plate, so every step—from parameter programming to safety interlocks—has to be rock-solid before we release it to production. Scope of work • Verify factory settings and load the correct machine file for 4000-ton capacity. • Program the DA-51 with our initial bend sequences and material data for mild and high-strength steel. • Calibrate back-gauge, ram depth, and crowning systems to within the manufacturer’s tolerances. • Run test bends, document results, and fine-tune the CNC until angles hold consistently across the full length. • Train my operators on daily start-up, tooling changeovers, and preventive maintenance routines specific to the DA-51 interface. • Deliver a concise commissioning report with all final parameters, tooling offsets, and recommended service intervals. Acceptance criteria – Repeatable bend accuracy within ±0.5° on 10 mm steel test pieces over a 3-metre length. – No controller alarms or axis errors after an eight-hour endurance run. – Operators demonstrate correct use of the DA-51 program library and safety functions.
