Custom WAF rules and rate limiting scoped to the expensive endpoints, using Managed Challenge rather than a hard block so real visitors still get through. 4. Keep verified crawlers allowed, so your search traffic is not caught in the mitigation. 5. Cache rules so repeat requests are answered at the edge and never reach your server, which is where most of the speed comes back. 6.
