I am looking for a specialist to design and develop a compact, lightweight, wearable weighing device that is mounted underneath a shoe. Requirements: - Form factor: footprint similar to a shoe, height ≤ 2 cm - Weight: as light as possible while maintaining sufficient structural integrity - Mounting: attachable underneath a shoe using a strap or comparable fixation system - Integrated display: display unit mounted on the strap (e.g. for weight or status) - Measurement: capture of weight - Electronics: Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) - Microcontroller: preferably ESP32 - Power supply: battery-operated, energy-efficient - Build: robust, impact-resistant, suitable for everyday use Scope clarification: - Software (firmware and app) will be developed in-house and is not part of this project Expected deliverables: - Concept and design (mechanical and electrical) - Selection of suitable sensor technology (e.g. load cells, pressure sensors) - Circuit design and PCB layout - Integration of the display into the strap - Prototyping support and guidance for scalable manufacturing Goal: A working prototype with a clear path toward reproducible manufacturing.
