I need someone who knows QGIS (or ArcGIS) software and OpenStreetMap coding. At the bottom of this page are links to two PDF maps. I need the following features from those pdf maps plotted onto an OpenStreetMap: (feature names are from the pdf map Legends) 1) "Project Area" (same on both pdf's) 2) "Caldor Fire Burn Perimeter" (same on both pdf's) 3) "Reforestation" (from [login to view URL]) 4) "Hand" and "Mechanical" (from [login to view URL]) I need these OpenStreetMap(s) displayed on a web page. You can either provide separate .html pages for each item/feature above, or if it's possible you can make the different items toggleable on a single web page (that's preferred). I would like items #3 and #4 to be solid colors, rather than the x/dot patterns shown on the PDFs. Here are the PDF maps: 1) [login to view URL] 2) [login to view URL] Location reference: The lake in the upper left of the maps is at: 38.881, -120.069 If you have any questions, please let me know. Thank you for reading/bidding

I'm Ahsan, a GIS Full-Stack Developer and Computer Science graduate with hands-on experience in QGIS, ArcGIS, GeoServer, PostGIS, Leaflet, OpenLayers, and web mapping applications. I have worked on government GIS projects involving digitization, spatial data management, map publishing, and interactive web GIS dashboards. Relevant projects: • PRIAT GIS Platform: [login to view URL] (dm me for username and passowrd) • GIS Dashboard (PostGIS + GeoServer + Interactive Mapping): [login to view URL] For your project, I can: ✔ Georeference the PDF maps accurately using the provided location reference ✔ Digitize Project Area, Caldor Fire Burn Perimeter, Reforestation, Hand, and Mechanical layers ✔ Convert all features into GIS-ready vector layers ✔ Publish them on an OpenStreetMap basemap using Leaflet/OpenLayers ✔ Create layer toggles for each feature on a single interactive web page (preferred approach) ✔ Apply clean solid-color symbology instead of PDF hatch/pattern styles ✔ Deliver standalone HTML files and GIS source files if required My background includes spatial digitization, cartography, web GIS development, GeoServer publishing, and interactive mapping solutions. I can deliver a clean, accurate, and user-friendly web map ready for immediate use.

I am a GIS data and software engineer, with around fifteen years experience in the field. Prior projects have included similar projects, extracting GIS layers from PDF maps and creating webmaps. Here, I propose to georeference the PDF maps and digitize the requested layers using QGIS. I will then create a leaflet map HTML file with an OSM basemap, and a toggle to switch between the layers. I should be able to get this to you within a couple of days of being hired. I will be looking forward to hearing back from you regarding this project and would be happy to discuss further by chat or in a web call. If you have any questions regarding my proposal, please do not hesitate to get in touch. Kind regards, Shaun

Hello, I have experience working with QGIS, georeferencing, digitizing map features from PDFs, and publishing interactive OpenStreetMap-based web maps. I reviewed both PDF files and understand the workflow required for this project. I can accurately extract and map the following layers: * Project Area * Caldor Fire Burn Perimeter * Reforestation * Hand * Mechanical My approach would be: 1. Georeference both PDF maps in QGIS using the provided location reference and identifiable map features. 2. Digitize the required polygons as separate GIS layers. 3. Apply clean solid-color symbology instead of the hatch/pattern styles shown in the PDFs. 4. Publish the layers on an interactive OpenStreetMap web map with layer toggle controls so each feature can be turned on or off independently. Deliverables: * Interactive HTML web map * Separate GIS layers (GeoJSON/Shapefile if required) * Organized and properly labeled data * QGIS project file upon request The final map will be lightweight, easy to use, and viewable directly in a browser without requiring GIS software. I can begin immediately and would be happy to discuss any preferred styling or export format before starting. Thank you for your time and consideration.

I can extract and georeference the features from your PDFs using QGIS or ArcGIS, then overlay them on OpenStreetMap. I will prepare a web map with toggleable layers for Project Area, Caldor Fire Burn Perimeter, Reforestation, and Hand/Mechanical zones, applying solid colors for the latter two as requested. The first step would be to analyze the PDFs and create vector layers with accurate geolocation. Please confirm if you can share any georeferencing info or if I should derive coordinates solely from map elements. I can deliver HTML pages with embedded OpenStreetMap layers and controls for feature visibility."

I have experience with QGIS, OpenStreetMap, GeoJSON and web mapping. I can georeference the PDF maps, digitize the Project Area, Caldor Fire Burn Perimeter, Reforestation, Hand and Mechanical treatment polygons, and deliver an interactive OpenStreetMap-based web map using Leaflet. The layers can be displayed with solid colors and made toggleable through a layer control panel on a single HTML page. Deliverables can include GeoJSON files and a standalone HTML map ready for hosting or local use.
