I am a voluntary contributor to Wikipedia and I would like to have my article about the Finnish War enhanced with 3-6 good maps, giving an strategic overview of the war, and the various campaigns, from the first Swedish retreat in the spring of 1808, with the Swedish summer offensive, the coastal naval battles and the second and final Swedish retreat. Besides this Sweden was also receiving threats of invasion from Norway and Denmark, which should be indicated, possibly at a separate map. Lastly the battles in Sweden proper against the invading Russian forces during the spring and summer og 1809 should be covered.
The maps have to be freely licensed so it can be posted on Wikimedia Commons, but the one winning the bid both may and should post them on his own account so he get the credit for drawing them. The preferred license is Creative Commons Attribution/Share-Alike. The finished drawings should also be in as open formats as possible so they can be modified freely afterwards, like translated into any of the 200+ languages that Wikipedia covers.
In order to draw the map the bidder needs basic knowledge of Military history, standard signs for military units in maps and knowledge of map drawing. She/he also has to use some time to read the article about the Finnish War and research related material to get a clear view of the information needed to draw the maps.
The finished maps will be incorporated into the various language versions of Wikipedia articles about the Finnish War, starting with the Norwegian and English version. With this description is attached a rough map over Finland in .svg format, it could be the starting point and it indicated the borders between Russia and Sweden at the time when the war started.
