I need my current plastic reel-turn knob reshaped into a true circular profile while keeping its existing fit on the shaft intact. The present knob is functional but its non-circular outline makes fingertip control awkward; a smooth round surface should solve that. Here is what I’m after: • Precise redesign of the knob geometry in a CAD file (STEP or STL preferred) that matches the current bore and fastening method. • Recommendations on any minor dimensional tweaks (grip diameter, edge radius) that improve comfort without forcing changes to the reel housing. • A print-ready or mold-ready file so I can move straight to prototyping in the same plastic grade. You’re free to use the 3D package you’re most comfortable with—SolidWorks, Fusion 360, or similar—as long as the final export opens cleanly in common slicers and machining software. Acceptance criteria • Circular exterior within ±0.2 mm of the agreed diameter. • Mounting fit tested digitally against the shaft dimensions I will supply. • All sharp edges broken to at least 0.5 mm radius for user comfort.
