1. HVAC Coordinated Shop Drawings required:
a. Will provide the drawing package to review for this quote if interested.
b. Include any and all Alternates in your quotation.
2. Drawing package provided (PDF's):
a. Submittals and other details will be provided pending award of project.
b. Actual equipment dimensions per the submittals must be incorporated into your drawings for accuracy.
c. AutoCAD architectural background files will be available after award of project.
3. Need to show Top & Bottom of ductwork (elevation dimensions, TOD & BOD) horizontal position dimensions.
a. All ductwork elevations are to be initially set tight to the overhead structure unless otherwise instructed or unfeasible to do so.
b. Ductwork requires 1” clearance plus allowance for insulation thickness.
c. Route ducts close to walls, overhead construction, columns, and other structural and permanent enclosure elements of building.
d. In general, set all elevations to optimize space for all other services (TYP).
e. Run ducts in between beams or joists when possible to conserve space for other services.
f. Ductwork to have the minimum joints as possible.
4. Need to identify / avoid any interferences, for example:
a. Conflict with ductwork and ceiling, lights, etc.
b. Conflict with ductwork and overhead structural steel.
c. Other systems installed in same space as ducts (if applicable).
d. Ceiling suspension assembly members.
e. Ceiling-mounted and wall-mounted access doors and panels required to provide access to dampers and other operating devices.
f. Ceiling-mounted items, including lighting fixtures, diffusers, grilles, speakers, sprinklers, access panels, and perimeter or special moldings (if applicable).
g. Coordinate maintenance clearance & electrical clearance with equipment and systems as applicable.
5. Drawings to be professional in nature.
a. 2-D drawings required, even if contract drawings show 1-D in some areas.
b. Paper to be on 36”x24” (D size) @ ¼” = 1’0” Scale.
c. All text height shall be a minimum of 3/32" when plotted in scaled plans, but shall be small enough so as to allow room for other’s text and data.
d. All text shall be on a separate layer.
e. All text and callouts shall be located on drawing as not to interfere with other existing data or text.
f. All dimensions shall be placed on their own layer by trade (Duct, Mech Pipe, Plumbing).
g. Any and all blocks used in the drawings shall be created on layer 0 unless otherwise directed.
h. All beam and slab penetrations shall be shown on the drawings on separate layers with special designations and unique colors (to be determined).
i. Utilize drawing border to the full extent feasible.
6. Ensure all typical details are included as applicable, for example:
a. Access Doors at all coils, FD, SD, etc. Coordinate wall/ceiling access with access doors.
b. Volume dampers, Fire dampers (FD) w/ breakaways, Smoke dampers (SD), Smoke detectors, etc.
c. Flex connections on all ductwork connections to units.
d. Louvers (size & location details) if applicable.
e. Foundation, Exterior Wall, Ceiling & Roof Penetrations (rough opening sizes & location details).
f. Sleeve sizes and locations.
g. Fire-rated wall and floor penetrations if applicable.
h. Size & locations of required concrete pads and bases.
i. Equipment connections and support details.
7. Price to include detailed plan views of entire area with elevation dimensions shown:
a. Provide detailed sections & isometrics of entire area (optional).
i. Recommend number of sections to show.
ii. Provide pricing option for sections.
