I have game code that was developed back in 2008-2012, and needs to be updated to work correctly with modern systems.
Currently I will need help with decrypting packets, providing me with documentation on the new packet structure and then updating the code and verifying it works properly in all aspects. The packet encryption was changed around ~2014 and needs to be updated.
There is also a bug with one of the packets and it is currently not working properly, and will need assistance to fix this and verify it is working. The game client currently connects to the server using a modified [url removed, login to view] file --- this may be the cause of the problem.
I will provide the server code, and instructions on how to currently connect to it. You will need to setup VirtualBox Ubuntu 12.04 with required dependencies to work on this.
Operating System: Ubuntu Desktop 12.04 x86
My Client = 7.09 version
Current Client = 7.36
My Server = 7.09 version
I need to update the encryption to update the server to 7.36 to match client 7.36. I need to test and verify all methods work and no crashes. Also, need to test a bug that may or may not be caused from communication error with "refresh" CTRL-R.
Source code for server will be provided with instructions on how to setup.
