For an existing software solution (windows desktop based), we need help on a C++ written MS Word Plugin / Addon.
This plugin worked perfectly but since the latest versions of windows and MS Office it sometimes fails. It is used to do a database-merge with MS Word for automated document creation and also communicates with the VB6-written ERP environment.
The plugin is documented in the code but not on paper; built several years ago with an older version of C++ / Visual studio.
The project exists out of a couple of steps:
1) Find out if the 'development' environment can be set up correctly based on sources provided.
2) In case of succes: debug on the known issues / bugs
3) Rework the code where needed.
4) Document changes and the steps needed to setup the development-environment.
