Open MP3 files in nested directories on locked media (DVDs and CDs) and
Trim them from full length songs down to 15 second clips (or other user specifiable length) and
(Optionally) recompress them at a new bit rate with LAME encoding
(Optionally) rename the file
Save to a user specified directory, while
MAINTAINING the ID3 tag info.
The "smart trimming" rules:
If a song is 45 seconds or longer (or other specifiable length), then crop the file so all that remains is 00:30 through 00:45 (or other specifiable range).
If the song is less than 45 seconds (or other user-specifiable/configurable length), use the middle 15 seconds (or other specifiable amount).
If it is less than 15 seconds (or other user-specifiable length), skip it.
Work natively in Mac OSX, and needs to be FAST.
