Project is multi-tiered. Intranet with General Company Info for employees. Customer level log-in to view their particular projects, approve projects(including paying bills), get status, request changes, general company info, access to a company chat/help room. With Faq’s to answer questions.
Employee portion should be functional for email, internal chat, calendars (personal and department wise), project tracking and status Extras for fun, that would not be necessary if they cost a lot are…Top News…favorite stocks maybe. Allowing access to email. Employees will log-in and can stay logged in, but view a customized site for them, their projects, their schedule.
Finally the third requirment..Project management. As a job is placed into que(thru acceptance from the customer), this should email requests in order, to necessary people as needed. This request is an email with a link to log-in to the site and approve a change, or do a task. Once the Task is Completed, it is triggered to send the next email(next task) until a project is completed. (While employees and Customers alike can sign-on to view ALL their tasks, time sensitive would re-email them as a reminder periodically. As you can see, this will be highly database driven. There will be some web design to look pretty…but this is not our primary website..so functionality comes over appearance.
Employee and Customer Login’s should not be limited on amount of users that can sign in and should be fully customizable on an individual level via an in-house admin on what each user can “view” as well as what they can modify under their log-in. I envision this being “fields” that are enabled per user account…and under each field, some are more descriptive…going to the level of what is modifiable within each field. If done correctly, you should not need to worry about all of the exhaustive notes that are included; specifying what each user can see and do. You should only be concerned with the options that are available for ANY user to have access to. This way as Admins, we can set the user as much access as we see necessary. Email is integrated thru “sendmail” and calendars thru ms exchange 2003. Databases are primarily SQL. Possible integration with ACT! For contact info.
We will need one web page that “autobuilds” a group of screen shots of pictures, based on a database. So, if we currently have 30 screenshots, as we add them it will adjust the page to display the screenshots in order of their assigned “grouping”. This will require an input field for the Admin of this section. Each Screen shot should be able to be clicked on, taking you to a larger image/images.
Finally, what we do for a business is “Smart Home” programming and graphics design. We want to team up with someone, who is willing to get enough knowledge on our needs in this business to provide them all. Someone willing to work with us to fine tune this to our expectations. Be sure to Add in time to be able to tweek this to what we want.
