Dear Recruiter, I am writing to express my interest in this freelance Malay-to-English translation opportunity. I am currently a final-year Diploma in Information Technology student at Politeknik Ungku Omar (PUO) and am undergoing my industrial internship. I have strong Malay and English communication skills, having achieved Band 4 in MUET and an A in English for my SPM. During my time at PUO, I participated in Learning Express, a two-week collaborative program in partnership with Singapore Polytechnic (SP). The program involved working alongside Singaporean students on a Design Thinking project in Jeli, Kelantan, where we conducted research within the local community. During the program, I assisted the SP students in communicating with local farmers and students who participated in their research. This experience strengthened my ability to communicate clearly and adapt to different people, cultures, and situations. I believe my proficiency in Malay and English, combined with my cross-cultural communication experience, would allow me to contribute effectively to Malay-to-English translation projects.
