I run a small server that relies on a single token embedded in five local bash scripts. That token changes frequently and is published inside a public .m3u file on GitHub. What I need is a lightweight solution that runs every minute from cron, fetches that remote .m3u, pulls out both the URL and its accompanying token, and then slips the fresh values into each of the local scripts where they are currently hard-coded as script parameters. Current state • The five bash files already exist and work; they simply hold outdated, hard-coded parameters. so they probably need to be modified to run like: $token= "[login to view URL]" ffmpeg -i "blablabla/$token/channel/[login to view URL] -c copy blabla • The .m3u has a consistent format, so the token and URL can be isolated reliably with a regex or similar parse. Your task 1. Write a single script—bash or PHP would be easiest for me to maintain, but I’m open to whatever you feel is most robust. 2. Fetch the remote file over HTTPS, extract the URL and token, and validate that both are present. 3. Replace the old parameter values in each local bash file in-place (sed, awk, or other method is fine as long as the rest of each file is untouched). 4. Exit with clear logging so cron’s mail shows success or failure. Acceptance The job is complete when I can schedule the script with crontab -e to run * * * * * and observe: • Remote fetch succeeds. • All five local scripts update seamlessly. • A quick manual run of any of those scripts proves the new token and URL are live. Hand me the finished script plus a two-line README covering setup and dependencies, and we’re done.

Hi, Understanding your need to seamlessly update tokens in your local bash scripts from a remote .m3u GitHub file, I appreciate the precision and reliability you require. Your setup demands a robust yet lightweight script that performs every minute without fail , a challenge I'm ready to solve elegantly. With extensive experience in bash scripting, regular expressions, and automation on Linux servers, I'll craft a single, maintainable script in bash for optimal compatibility and simplicity. This script will fetch the .m3u securely, parse out the token and URL accurately, validate them, and update your existing five scripts inline without disturbing their original structure, using sed or awk. Clear logging will ensure you’re instantly informed of success or any issues. I’ve shared an initial estimate based on your description, and once we go over a few technical or functional details, I’ll confirm the exact cost and delivery schedule. I’ll also supply a concise two-line README for setup and dependencies. Could you please share the format or a sample of the .m3u file and an example of your current parameter lines in one of the bash scripts? Best regards, Asad

Hi there, I’ve read your briefing on parsing a remote .m3u to refresh a token and URL across five local scripts every minute. I can deliver a lightweight, cron-friendly solution that is robust, easy to maintain, and logs clearly for cron mail. I bring Linux scripting and automation expertise (Bash, Python, and PHP) with practical experience in secure HTTP fetching, regex-based parsing, and in-place file edits. My approach: - Build a single launcher script (Bash preferred, with an optional Python helper for regex robustness) that fetches the remote .m3u via HTTPS, validates presence of URL and token, and extracts both values with a concise regex. - Update all five local scripts in-place using sed/awk without touching other content, replacing only the hard-coded token and URL parameters. - Run on a one-minute cron, emitting structured logs to stdout and a log file, and exit with non-zero status on failure so cron mail notifies you. - Include a dry-run option for testing, and a manual run verification step to confirm the new token and URL are live. The deliverables: a single, well-documented script and a two-line README with setup and dependencies. The solution will be designed to gracefully handle token format changes and network hiccups.

Hello, I’ve reviewed your requirement to automate updating a set of five local bash scripts with a remotely hosted token and URL embedded in a public .m3u file. I’ll deliver a compact, robust solution (bash or PHP) that runs from cron, fetches the HTTPS file every minute, extracts the URL and token reliably with a small, well-tested regex, validates both values, and updates all five scripts in place without touching their remaining logic. Proposed approach: - Single maintainable script (bash or PHP) with clear logging for cron mail. - Secure fetch over HTTPS with curl or wget, with basic validation to ensure both URL and token are present. - In-place edits of the five target scripts using sed/awk, preserving all non-parameter parts. - Simple, consistent error handling and exit codes to reflect success or failure to cron. - Optional dry-run mode for testing before enabling cron. Delivery includes the finished script and a two-line README covering setup and dependencies. I’ll ensure the solution is lightweight, portable, and easy to maintain. Best regards, Jordan Rafael

Hello, I’ve read your request: five local bash scripts contain an outdated token that’s published inside a public .m3u on GitHub and needs refreshing every minute. I will deliver a lightweight updater (bash by default, or PHP if you prefer) that cron runs every minute, fetches the .m3u over HTTPS, extracts the stream URL and token with a robust regex, validates both values, and updates each script in-place using atomic sed/awk edits (with optional backups) so the rest of each file is untouched. The updater will emit clear, concise logs and exit codes so cron mail shows success or failure. I also have practical experience with LLMs, Transformers, chatbots, classification, and vector search, and I’m comfortable owning the full pipeline from data to deployment. I’ll provide the finished script plus a two-line README and a sample crontab entry within the timeframe below. I can start and deliver within 1 day. Can you confirm the public .m3u GitHub URL and the exact file paths or naming pattern for the five local scripts so I can target replacements precisely? Sincerely, Andrew

Hi, I am a seasoned Linux System Administrator with 15+ years of hands-on experience managing servers, automating workflows, and writing robust, maintainable shell scripts for production environments. Since your need involves creating a lightweight, cron-friendly Bash script to fetch a public .m3u file from GitHub, reliably parse the token + URL, and safely update hardcoded values in your five existing bash scripts, I’ll deliver clean, idempotent code that’s easy for you to understand and maintain long-term. My approach will be: 1. Craft a single, self-contained Bash script using curl + standard tools (grep/sed/awk) for fetching and parsing. 2. Implement solid validation: ensure token/URL are extracted correctly and non-empty before any updates. 3. Use precise in-place edits (sed with anchors or patterns) to replace only the target lines in each of your five scripts without touching anything else. 4. Add clear logging with timestamps and exit codes so cron emails show success/failure instantly. Deliverables: fully tested Bash updater script + concise 2-line README with crontab example, dependencies (curl + GNU sed/awk), and quick verification steps. Quick questions: 1. Could you share the exact public GitHub URL to the .m3u file (or a sample line/format showing how token & URL appear)? 2. Can you paste one example of how the hardcoded token/URL lines currently look in your scripts (just the relevant line(s), anonymized if needed)? Best Regards, Rahul Kumar

Hi there, I understand you need a lightweight cron-ready script that fetches a remote .m3u over HTTPS, extracts a consistently formatted URL and token, validates them, and safely updates the hard-coded parameters inside five existing bash scripts without altering other logic. SEO Global Team has strong experience with Bash and PHP automation, regex-based parsing, secure remote fetching, in-place file updates using sed/awk, and robust cron logging for production server environments. We will deliver a single maintainable script with strict validation checks, atomic in-place replacements, clear success/failure logging for cron mail, and a concise two-line README covering setup and scheduling. Is the GitHub .m3u publicly accessible without authentication? Are the five bash files located in the same directory? Should the script create backups before modifying each file? Looking forward to your response.
