Payment triggered workflows fail in one predictable way: the trigger fires more than once, or not at all. Razorpay retries webhooks, so without idempotency you send two certificates and two emails for one payment, which is worse than sending none. So the flow keys on the payment id, records what was already done, and skips work that has been done. Signature verification on the webhook matters too, otherwise anyone can post a fake payment and get a certificate. Sheets as the record is fine at low volume, and I would add a failure notification so a broken run is visible immediately rather than at month end.
