A creative architectural design is needed for a single story house with the following requirements:
1. Plot size is 80m x80m and must have concrete fence surrounding the plot.
2. House will be made of concrete.
3. Three bedrooms (one master bedroom + two normal) and one dining room
4. Dining room must have:
a. Beautiful ceiling adornment with lighting design
b. Creative location for hand-wash for guests along with mirror.
c. Large elongated windows throughout dining room.
d. Guest toilet.
5. Two bathrooms (one for master bedroom, one for other two bedrooms)
a. Bathroom for master has to be spacious with shower and tub.
6. High ceilings.
7. Bedrooms and dining room has a separation door between them.
8. Bedrooms have small joint area, enough for seating, with a glass cubes in ceiling for light during the day.
9. Has a patio with seating area, which can accommodate a gazebo
10. Space for garage entrance and parking.
11. Roof should be of a modern design, suitable for solar panel installation.
12. Arrangements should be made for future second story, if possible.
1. General Requirements:
a. Plot size is 25 x 25 m2 and must have concrete fence surrounding the plot.
b. Incorporate archways, corners and edges for placement of furniture, simple yet elegant ceiling designs,
c. House will be made of concrete, two floors (Ground floor and First Floor).
d. Design should accommodate an efficient natural air ventilation system.
e. Three bedrooms (one master bedroom + two normal), one dining/living room area, one storage room, one kitchen, prayer room and one guest receiving area. Master bedroom should be on the ground floor. Areas should be spacious, however not too much to limit exterior lawn area, and to reduce cost.
a. Has an area immediately connected to it by open space (archway), consisting of a long floor seating area to entertain and receive unknown guests.
b. Entryway also leads to staircase, however visitors seated in the living/dining room area should not be able to see people accessing the staircase. Moreover, underneath the staircase, a design for a bookshelf is preferred.
3. Dining/Living room must have:
a. Separate areas for the living room and dining room, connected through open space, with the dining room one step above the living room area.
b. Living room area must have a shared ceiling with the top floor, with large tall windows highlighting the height of ceiling. Windows should cover as much of one/two walls as possible for maximum light.(dining area doesn't necessarily have to be sharing a ceiling with top floor, but it is very much preferable)
c. Walls should be able to accommodate the installation of shelves via planks, by having a space within the wall in the living room. Wall design behind the shelves should be of stone veneer.
d. Beautiful simple ceiling adornment with minimal lighting design (both living and dining room areas).
e. Dining/Living room areas should be spacious and with daylight, high ceilings and open space giving the feel for relaxation.
f. Creative location for hand-wash for guests along with mirror. (dining area)
g. Guest toilet. (near dining area, but could be relocated if not suitable)
h. Fireplace in the living room area.
a. Normal Bedrooms:
i. Have built in closets.
ii. Have shared Jack and Jill bathroom (two opposite accesses from rooms, one bathroom). Color for tiles are dark grey flooring and white walls.
iii. Must be large enough for a queen sized bed, two large desks and a bookshelf.
iv. Bedrooms shall have joint area upon leaving the rooms which oversees the living room area. (like a balcony within the house, overlooking the living room area.) It should be large enough for ample seating space.
b. Master Bedroom:
i. Has creative three archways (two small, one large) separating the seating area from the bed area. Two archways are going to accommodate shelves, which can be viewed from both sides, the middle archway shall be access between open spaces.
ii. Spacious bathrooms with a simple creative design. Floor tiles should be dark grey and wall tiles white.
iii. Has a walk in closet.
a. Outdoor Kitchen area should have spaces for barbecue equipment, coal stove and dish washing sink. A lower cabinet for storing minimal kitchenware should also be included. Adequate ventilation should be available for dissipation of heat, and area should be protected against rainy weather conditions.
b. Small indoor kitchen which contains the upper and lower cabinets around the walls of the kitchen, one fridge and one gas stove.
a. Has a space outside of the house which is accessible through the living room area, that has a decked timber flooring within the roof of the house. It should be spacious enough for family dining.
b. Maximum area for a lawn, Xeriscaping to be used for selection of plants. Leyland Cypress trees to be planted for privacy and shade. Rocks should be used in landscaping design.
c. Space for garage entrance and car park.
d. Roof should be suitable for solar panel installation.
