This will be a game using a grid of configurable size 10x10 up to 20x20, configured at the start of a match. The game will then progress to a placement grid with a sliding menu at the top of the screen to drag units onto the grid, up to a maximum of 5 (there will be about 15 units of various shapes). Once a unit is placed it will have the ability to be moved around before a button is clicked in the bottom right corner to accept the placement. Then the game continues with each player selecting a grid space. Once this selection is completed control is passed to the opponent. The game will have facebook integration for account management and matchmaking, similar to words with friends/draw something. This will allow users to start a game with a friend (or post to their facebook wall, asking them to play if they do not have the game), post victory text to their own facebook wall (I have won a decisive battle in "Game").
This game will be comprised of 2D units and backgrounds the backgrounds (clouds and terrain, 4 types, will pass under the battlefield to simulate movement). The game will have 4 different versions: the android version will have 2 separate versions one for phones (android 2.3+) and one for tablets (3.0+), there will also be an iOS version for both iPad and iPhone. The tablet and pad versions will have a higher resolution, as well as the UI will show more. I would prefer that this project be done in Unity3D as it allows for easy cross platform play and compiling. Art and sounds will need to be provided.
