We are seeking a "ghost" writer to work with our leadership team to create a series of short (1 or 2 pages) articles showcasing their knowledge of the electric and gas markets, smart grid and demand response, trends, etc. While these leaders are bright, articulate and thought leaders, they are also extremely busy and often too wordy. The idea is to have them "talk" through the concepts, send background reading materials or presentations they have done and then have the "ghost" writer get it 80% there, then do an edit loop or two with the leader.
We have a steady stream of work for the right person and would consider a retainer after the first month of proving this is a fit.
Another area we are considering using a writer is to take these same papers and turn some of them into one minute topic video's. Understanding a script is different than a paper, the writer would work with the leader to get the content into shape and assist in "listening" to practice runs and then doing a bit of coaching during the taping (can be done remotely.
Other than writing skills the most important aspect is knowledge of the space we are in. If you don't have direct experience, please don't respond.
