We are a spa manufacturer based in Colorado (my USA business partner, [url removed, login to view] & [url removed, login to view]) and in The Netherlands (where I am: [url removed, login to view]).
Currently we are buying the controlboxes and controlpads for our spas from [url removed, login to view] This is a very reliable product, but the design of the controlpad is quite old fashioned and the software on their microcontroller was written centuries ago :-) It works, but because we are growing we also get growing demands that can not be fullfilled by any existing spa controlbox supplier.
We therefore prefer an approach in which we get more control over our spas by designing the controlbox and software ourselves. Also we would prefer a more modern looking controlpad like e.g. small full-color touchscreens. We are looking for a developer that can write the software for us and perhaps also advice us regarding the exact type of Arduino board. My American business partner is quite technical and already tweaks the current boards that we have with all kinds of extra relays so that the relays on the ACC board are not used and the ACC board only functions as a message center. So the high amps of the pumps are going through the seperate relays that we use and not through the board. I guess the Arduino boards can also send signals to these relays?
We don't know a lot about Arduino. Is Arduino the right choice for us? And if so, can you develop the software for us?
Of course we can deliver all the exact requirements of what the software needs to do in the way you want to have it delivered (requirements document, uml?). The developers in my first company [url removed, login to view] have a lot of experience with writing requirement documents for software development.
The attached ACC manual can already give you an idea of what the Arduino software should at least be able to do.
