We need an experienced manual QA tester to thoroughly test a live, already-deployed web app called PriceMatch and produce a clear bug report. ABOUT THE APP PriceMatch lets a customer log a purchase they made at a retailer (Best Buy, Costco, Target, Walmart, Amazon), then automatically tracks that product's price. If the price drops within a 60-day window, the app alerts the customer by email/push so they can claim a price-match refund from the store. It's a React web app (also installable as a PWA) backed by a Node.js API. WHAT NEEDS TESTING 1. Account & login - Register, log in, log out, change password - Stay logged in across browser sessions/tabs — confirm you are NOT unexpectedly logged out during normal use (this was recently changed, please test carefully) - Edit profile (name, notification preferences) 2. Adding & tracking products - Add a product manually (name, store, price paid, purchase date, optional URL/SKU/barcode) - Edge cases: a price under $15 (should be rejected), a purchase date far in the past, today's date, an invalid date - Add a product with a real retailer product URL and confirm the detail page reflects it - Try the "Add from photo" and "Find link with AI" helpers and note if/when they misbehave 3. Product list & detail - Filter/sort the product list by status and store - Open a product's detail page: price history chart, "Check Price Now" button - Confirm a product's status (active / claimed / expired) makes sense for its purchase date — this logic changed recently, please flag anything that looks off (e.g. a product that should be active shows expired, or an old expired one becomes active after you edit its date) 4. Notifications - Notifications page: unread count, mark one/all as read - If you get a price-drop email or in-app alert, confirm original price / new price / savings match the product - If you expect an alert and don't get one, tell us exactly what you did and when — email delivery has had issues before and matters a lot to us 5. Claiming a price match - From a product with a price drop, try the claim flow and confirm the claimed amount/status update correctly 6. Receipts - Upload a receipt image/PDF, confirm it's parsed and a line item can be added as a tracked product 7. General - Enter unusual text in free-text fields (name, notes) — special characters, emoji, very long text, HTML-looking text like <b>test</b> — confirm it never breaks or displays oddly anywhere it's shown later (dashboard, emails, notifications) - Test on desktop and mobile browser (responsive layout) - Try the "install as app" (PWA) prompt if you see it OUT OF SCOPE - No load/performance testing - No penetration testing/security exploitation — just note anything that looks like a security or privacy issue (e.g. seeing another user's data) and stop there - No need to touch any admin/internal tooling — that's not part of this app DELIVERABLE One bug report (spreadsheet or doc) listing, per issue: - Short title - Steps to reproduce - Expected vs. actual result - Severity (blocker / major / minor / cosmetic) - Screenshot or short screen recording - Browser/device used Test account credentials will be shared privately after hiring — please don't post or request any login/API credentials publicly on this platform. TIMELINE / BUDGET [fill in] NICE TO HAVE - Prior QA experience with e-commerce or fintech-adjacent apps - Comfortable with basic API testing (Postman) is a plus, not required

Hi, I’m an experienced manual QA tester and can thoroughly test PriceMatch across its complete customer journey, with particular attention to the recently changed session persistence and product status logic. I’ll cover account/login, profile settings, product creation and validation, retailer URLs, AI/photo helpers, filtering/sorting, price history, price checks, notifications, price-match claims, receipt parsing, and responsive behavior on desktop and mobile browsers. I’ll specifically test edge cases such as invalid dates, older purchases, price thresholds, unusual text, emojis, long inputs, and HTML-like content. I’ll document every confirmed issue with a concise title, exact reproduction steps, expected vs. actual result, severity, browser/device, build/environment details, and screenshots or short recordings. I’ll also flag any apparent privacy/security issues without performing exploitation. I’m comfortable with Postman for basic API checks if useful, and I understand that credentials should only be shared privately after hiring. I can start promptly and provide a clear, actionable bug report focused on issues that could affect real customers. Regards

The recently changed session persistence and active/expired product-status logic are the two areas I’d test most aggressively first, because silent logout issues or incorrect 60-day eligibility can directly break the core PriceMatch experience. I’d run a structured manual QA pass across account flows, product creation, retailer URLs, filters/sorting, notifications, claim flow, receipt parsing, PWA behavior, and responsive layouts. My two priorities would be user experience and clean implementation of the QA process, with reproducible test cases, edge-case coverage, and clear evidence so fixes can be validated quickly. I’m comfortable testing React/Node applications end-to-end and using browser dev tools plus Postman where API behavior needs to be isolated from frontend behavior. I’ll specifically verify date boundaries, price-drop calculations, session persistence across tabs/restarts, malformed inputs, HTML-like text, notification consistency, and mobile browser behavior. Relevant example: FileChannels, a React-based collaboration platform with real-time messaging, file sharing, CRM integrations, authentication, and cross-device workflows where end-to-end regression testing was critical. Deliverable will be a clean bug report with severity, steps, expected vs actual, screenshots/video, and browser/device details.

Hi, I can thoroughly QA your live PriceMatch application by creating and executing my own detailed test cases covering the complete user journey, edge cases, responsive behavior, PWA functionality, notifications, product tracking, price-drop/claim flow, receipts, and account/session handling. I have extensive experience working with multiple companies as a Product Owner, which also gives me a strong understanding of how to validate products from both a business and end-user perspective. I can independently prepare a complete QA test suite rather than simply testing the scenarios provided in the requirements. I also have experience with API testing using Postman and can create/execute API test suites in Katalon when required. I will carefully test the recently changed login/session and product-status logic and pay special attention to notification and email delivery issues. For every confirmed issue, I will provide a clear report with title, steps to reproduce, expected vs. actual result, severity, browser/device details, and screenshots or screen recordings where required. I have also worked on insurance and fintech-related products, so I am comfortable testing applications where accuracy, reliability, and customer-facing workflows are important. Give me one opportunity to test it—I’ll let the quality of my testing and reporting speak for itself. Thanks, Sandeep

Hi, I’m an experienced manual QA tester and can thoroughly test PriceMatch across desktop and mobile browsers. I’ll cover account/login, product tracking, 60-day status logic, notifications, claims, receipts, edge cases, and PWA behavior. I’ll also test unusual inputs and carefully check for UI, functional, and data/privacy issues. You’ll receive a clear bug report with reproduction steps, expected vs actual results, severity, screenshots/recordings, and device/browser details. I’m also comfortable with Postman for basic API checks if needed. One question: is the 60-day eligibility window inclusive of the purchase date, or does it expire at the start of day 61?

Hey there, thanks for such a detailed test plan. The session persistence and status logic changes are exactly the kind of thing I'd poke at hardest. I build React and Node.js apps with REST APIs, so I know where these flows usually break, and I'm comfortable checking API responses directly when the UI looks off. Should I test on real retailer URLs only, or do you have some test products set up? I can start today and send the bug sheet with screenshots.

Hi, PriceMatch has several areas where small regressions could affect the customer experience, especially the recent changes around session persistence and active/expired status. My approach would cover registration, login sessions, profile settings, product tracking, retailer URLs, AI/photo helpers, sorting, price history, alerts, claims and receipt processing. I’ll also check boundary cases such as purchases below the allowed value, unusual dates, long or special-character text, emojis and HTML-like input. Testing will be performed on desktop and mobile browsers, including responsive behaviour and the PWA installation experience where available. Every confirmed defect will include concise reproduction steps, expected and actual behaviour, severity, browser/device information and screenshots or recordings. Anything resembling a privacy concern will be flagged without attempting exploitation. Message me with the test access and I can get started. Best Regards Prachi Webix Infotech

Hi, PriceMatch is a strong fit for my QA experience, especially the combination of e-commerce workflows, exploratory testing and edge-case validation. I’m a QA Engineer with 4 years of hands-on experience in manual, automation, API and mobile testing. I can test the complete journey—from account/login and product tracking to price history, notifications, claims and receipt processing. I’ll pay particular attention to the areas you highlighted as recently changed: session persistence across tabs/browser sessions and active/claimed/expired status logic. I’ll also validate boundary cases such as prices below $15, invalid/past dates, retailer URLs, notification data, claim amounts and unusual text including emojis, long strings and HTML-like input. For the AI/photo helpers and receipt flow, I’ll test realistic failure scenarios. I’ll cover desktop and mobile browsers, responsive behavior and the PWA installation flow where available. I can also use Postman for basic API checks when useful. On a major UI/functionality transformation project, I personally identified 500+ defects by going beyond documented requirements and testing from a real-user perspective. Your final bug report will include clear reproduction steps, expected vs. actual results, severity, browser/device details and supporting screenshots or short recordings. I’m available to start immediately and would be happy to test PriceMatch thoroughly and provide a concise, actionable report.
