Quick Qs first (so I don’t build the wrong thing): 1. Do candidates log in only by email/password or also Google/LinkedIn? 2. Are hiring stages fixed or do you want to edit them per job? 3. When you say “sales area later” do you mean full checkout or just catalog first? I went through your description carefully. This is basically an ATS + a future sales system living on the same site, so the database structure has to be clean from the start or it becomes a disaster later. I’d build it Laravel/MySQL or Django/Postgres (both mainstream, no weird tech). Recruitment side: job posting, candidate profile, resume upload, track them stage by stage, admin can tag people, leave notes, filter fast, search properly. Important parts people forget (I won’t): * resume files stored properly (S3 bucket style, signed URLs, not random public links) * soft delete for candidates (so you can restore later, happens all the time) * full text search for skills + tags * audit history so you can see who moved someone from Screening to Interview * background queue for PDF parsing + file processing (otherwise uploads get slow) * admin “duplicate job” button because you’ll post similar roles again and again * stage templates so you don’t manually rebuild pipelines every time * rate limiting + CSRF + validation on uploads so it doesn’t get abused
